Stiga

Stiga is a traditional Swedish brand that you can encounter in table hockey, snow sleds, table tennis equipment, but also in lawn mowers and tractors. The company itself was founded in 1934 by Mr. Stig Hjelmquist.

The first Stiga hockey game was manufactured in 1957. It has been more than 50 years since Stiga hockey games have been produced. The first hockey game had a rectangular shape and metal figures. Over the years, there have been many improvements, and today, durable plastic is the predominant material. Stiga hockey is not just a game that three generations of boys and girls have grown up with, but also a sporting discipline. Since the beginning of the 1980s, international tournaments have been regularly organized all over the world, culminating in a world championship every two years. It is gratifying to note that Czech representatives belong to the absolute world elite.

Currently, the production of Stiga hockey games is owned by the Swedish company STIGA Sports AB. The distribution in the Czech and Slovak markets is handled by the company V2 hokej s.r.o..
